2 Years of Reshaping Tumba Festival
Amplifying Culture in a Digital Era
For the second year in a row, Reshapers took the stage, both literally and digitally at Tumba Festival, partnering with AMAK to elevate its presence beyond the festival grounds and into the global spotlight. Our mission? To expand the Tumba Festival’s reach, engage a younger audience, and ensure that this cornerstone of our Curaçao culture continues to thrive in an era where digital connection is just as important as physical presence.
It was a year of big wins. A sold-out Red Carpet. An expanded and fully booked General Section by the end of the week. A seamless fusion of branding, digital storytelling, and festival design. And at the heart of it all? The Reshapers team pouring passion, creativity, and strategy into every element of the festival’s evolution.
But what did this journey feel like from the inside? Here’s a glimpse of how it all came together.
From Vision to Reality: The Reward of Building Something Bigger
Ask any member of the Reshapers team, and they'll tell you Tumba isn’t just another project. It’s culture. It’s pride. It’s a space where digital meets tradition in a way that feels personal.
For Carlos, returning to Curaçao after 11 years abroad and seeing the festival come to life was an emotional moment. “I remember standing in front of the stage just one day before Tumba, looking at the final setup. A few months ago, it was just an idea I had connected with our designer and now, here it was, real and in front of me. That hits different.”
Meanwhile, Kelvin found excitement in how Reshapers left its mark across multiple touchpoints. “We made our presence felt not just through social media, video production, and app content, but also in the very fabric of the festival itself, the stage, the banners, the outside screens. And seeing how satisfied both the audience and our own team were with the result? That was the most rewarding part.”
Even for Daniël, who had a lighter involvement this year, the excitement came from seeing how Tumba continues to evolve. “I love that we’re making culture more open and accessible in a digital era. Tumba is no longer just for those who can be there physically, it's reaching a whole new audience.”
The Digital Bridge: Keeping the Festival Alive Beyond the Moment
One of the most powerful aspects of our work at Tumba Festival was creating an immersive experience that lives on far beyond the event itself.
For Ango, this was all about building a bridge between those at the festival and those experiencing it from home. “We created a connection that extended beyond the physical space. Because we had a team with different perspectives capturing different angles of the event, we gave people a way to experience Tumba in multiple ways even after it’s over.”
Steph echoed this, emphasizing how digital storytelling gave more people access to the festival experience. “Whether for financial or physical reasons, not everyone can be there in person. But through our work, we made it possible for them to still feel the energy, the crowds, the artists, the backstage moments. And beyond that, we built anticipation leading up to Tumba, helping people catch the spirit of the festival before it even started.”
Deva added that since implementing a consistent content strategy for Tumba in 2024, the festival’s online presence really took shape. Previously, others shared about Tumba, but Festival di Tumba stepped into the driver’s seat, telling its own stories, often personal ones, about what it takes to bring Tumba to life and the impact it has. By combining storytelling in an accessible language, a new design, and visual productions, we ensured that people were engaged with everything Tumba before and during the festival. “Someone even told me they felt part of the festival before it even started, and that during the event, they could feel the vibe even from afar.”
The Reshapers Difference: Small Team, Big Impact
Beyond the success of our digital strategy, what truly set Reshapers apart at Tumba Festival was our ability to wear multiple hats, integrating seamlessly into different aspects of the event.
“We’re a small team, but we contributed in different ways throughout the festival,” said Kervin. “From supporting pre-planning and marketing efforts to collaborating on specific design elements and content creation, we worked closely with AMAK and their team to help bring aspects of the Tumba Festival to life.”
For Kyara, who experienced Tumba in person for the first time this year, the magic was in how the team worked together. “Watching our team command the space we work in and deliver at such a high level filled me with so much pride. What sets us apart isn’t just the team work it's the unique strengths each person brings to the table. If even one piece had been missing, the result wouldn’t have been the same.”
Talysa reflected on how this experience tested her ability to step out of her comfort zone. “What sets us apart as a team is that, despite the challenges, we never allowed ourselves to drift apart. We could have easily let others take a step back, but instead, everyone took ownership, stepped up, and led where needed. We understood that if one person faltered, we’d all sink. But by working together, we made sure to thrive and create something truly magical.”
This is what Reshapers does. We don’t just run campaigns. We don’t just create content. We transform experiences, ensuring that brands, events, and cultural moments don’t just happen but live on, reach further, and impact more people than ever before.
Looking Ahead
Tumba Festival 2025 proved that when strategy, creativity, and passion collide, the results speak for themselves. But this is just the beginning. As we continue shaping digital landscapes and pushing the boundaries of brand experiences, we look forward to helping more organizations amplify their impact just like we did with AMAK.
