BtS at Reshapers: Catalyst Chronicles

Hi everyone! I'm Kyara, the new Communications Lead at Reshapers. As I dive into the Reshapers world, I’m excited to share my journey with you. Get ready for a behind-the-scenes look at this amazing company!

A Cornerstone of Reshapers

For this post, I focused on Reshapers' more than ten years history with Catalyst, the originators of corporate team building with a network of team building partners. The Catalyst license, a significant investment for a young company just shy of three years at that time, has proven to be a cornerstone of Reshapers’ growth and success. 

Challenges and Triumphs

The road to success wasn't always smooth. It took Reshapers six months to secure their first Catalyst client, Curoil. The inaugural event, Big Picture, was a memorable experience, with team members camping at San Pedro to ensure the setup survived the night. Only to get a downpour of rain during the event. But the team was committed to making it a success and making sure the client had a positive experience. 

One of the most challenging moments came in 2019 when Reshapers hosted a massive event for Novartis, a multinational pharmaceutical company. The event involved 300 attendees from Colombia and Brazil, making it the largest international group Reshapers has handled to date.

Ten hours before the Novartis event was scheduled to begin, Reshapers faced a major setback: their custom ordered materials for Flat Out Afloat were stuck in customs. With time running out, the team knew they had to take a risk. They placed a ‘Hail Mary’ bet, pulling every string they could to expedite the release of the materials and the rest is history.

With these tidbits of information, I’m not sure if the team develops their problem solving skills and adaptability on the job or if it’s a requirement of joining the team…

Looking Ahead

Reshapers' catalog of team building activities is extensive, but there's always room for more. The team recently visited Portugal to explore new offerings, including AI and AR-based activities like A to Z of AI and AR Pyramid.
